CASSMIR – Contribution to the Spatial and Social Analysis of the Residential Real Estate Market
The CASSMIR database (Contribution to the Spatial and Social Analysis of the Residential Real Estate Market) is a spatial/population dataset on the Parisian metropolitan area housing property market. CASSMIR is the result of a work of matching and aggregation of individual data from two original databases : a database on real estate transactions (BIEN database) and a database on first-time buyer investments (PTZ database). For commercial reasons and for reasons of confidentiality of the individual data, public access to this original data is not allowed. CASSMIR delivers aggregated data in open access for non-commercial use.
The CASSMIR data lists nearly 350 agregated variables in four different fields of investigation : prices, socio-demographic indicators of buyers and sellers, indicators on purchasing regimes and types of property transfers, and types of real estate
